What is Elemental Energy?
"Calling the Quarters", is a term used by witches that describes the process of calling on the help of each element, one-by-one at the beginning of a ritual or any sacred occasion. It’s done as a form of protection while doing witchcraft, a way to add more power to whatever magic you’re practicing, or simply a way to feel connected to nature during a meditation. The four elements are the building blocks of all things, inside and outside of you, they are essential for most rituals and magical practices. Think of them as energetic forces to employ for magical manifesting and ritual. This kit provides pieces of all four to be represented on your altar or in a sacred space is a powerful balancing force.
So, we witches cast a circle (or create sacred space) and we “Ward it”. This means that we invoke protective energies in order to hold the space stable and to ward off unwanted entities that might be attracted to the bright between-the-world space that we’ve just created.
Also known as “invoking the elements”, as you call on each element, you’ll ask it to bring guidance or power in the form of certain energetic qualities. You can use the traditional elemental associations, or create your own based on your personal experiences with each element.
